A FEW STEPS AHEAD

How much difficulty it is to elucidate
minutely the days, months, years and centuries
of this millennium which we, our forefather’s forefather
had been sustaining.
Questions creep to our mind-how many steps
they had had to victory over the time.
Invention of wheel, collection of fruits and roots,
hunting animals by throwing primitive weapons
reveals the time and progression of scientific mentality
of remote society.
Landing on the moon, discovering lands and planets,
inventing missile and atom bombs,
making the time dominated by drugs and
lethal viruses i.e. AIDS cancer we have become
a few steps ahead.

Beauty is a big business. Around the world, the amount of money spent annually on cosmetics alone comes to a staggering $ 18.6 billion. To that has to be added the cost of hair styling, plastic surgery and clothing beyond the basics needed for modesty and protection from the elements. Yet how much do any of us spend on having a beautibul mind??? Educational basics aside, the answer is next to nothing.

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways but narrower viewpoints. We spend more but have less, we buy more but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge but less judgement. More experts,yet more problems,more medicines but less wellness.when we have been to and back from moon,we find it difficult to cross the road and meet the new neighbour.so where are we?? Is it where we were supposed to be.Think about it.
